Cruising Northern Europe from Stockholm to Copenhagen is a beautiful way to explore the Baltic Sea’s history, culture, and scenic cities — combining iconic capitals, medieval ports and quieter seaside towns. Join your gracious winery hosts, Suzanne Phifer Pavitt and Shane Pavitt for 10 days in July, when the weather is mild and the long days make sightseeing especially pleasant.
Port highlights of this magnificent cruise include Helsinki, known for its coastal charm, Nordic design, and the impressive Suomenlinna sea fortress. Tallinn, whose beautifully preserved medieval old town feels like stepping into a fairytale, with stone walls, towers, and cobblestone streets. Further south, Riga frequently stands out for its remarkable Art Nouveau architecture and lively old town, while Poland’s Gdańsk provides insight into the Baltic region’s Hanseatic trading past and local traditions. A visit to Berlin, Germany via the port of Warnemünde, offering one of Europe’s most dynamic capitals. Not to be missed is the Brandenburg Gate, remnants of the Berlin Wall, Museum Island, and the city’s powerful blend of modern culture and layered history.
