Food & Wine Trails is pleased to introduce a new wine cruise partner – L’Ecole No 41.

L’Ecole is one of Walla Walla Valley’s pioneering wineries and one of the most honored in Washington State, having garnered national and international accolades for producing superior quality wines.  They have been recognized by Wine & Spirits Magazine as a Top 100 Winery of the Year sixteen times. In 2014, Decanter awarded their 2011 Estate Ferguson the International Trophy for Best Bordeaux Blend in the World and in 2022, the 2019 Estate Perigee was named Best New World Bordeaux Blend at the Global Fine Wine Challenge.

We invite you to join your winery hosts, Megan & Marty Clubb for an inspirational, romantic and soul-stirring adventure along the Rhine River.  With Germany on one side and France on the other, you’ll enjoy 7-nights aboard Uniworld’s super ship – S.S. Antoinette along one of the most picturesque rivers in Europe.  Discover Alsace, whose dual French and German heritage has given it fabulous food and a winemaking tradition that goes back to the Romans. Marvel at castles that were once mighty fortresses and get an insider’s look at one of the only castles on the Rhine that has never been destroyed, Marksburg Castle. Visit historic cities, including ancient Cologne and picturesque Strasbourg; stroll through the fairytale town of Rüdesheim; and taste delightful white wines in the villages where the grapes are grown.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to sample delectable wines from L’Ecole No 41 during shipboard gatherings with our group, during select onboard events and dinners with your winery hosts.  Save the dates for Food & Wine Trails optional pre-cruise land program and bespoke wine-themed shore tours curated exclusively for guests of L’Ecole.

The luxurious décor of the 443-foot, 152-passenger S.S. Antoinette—Uniworld’s first Super Ship—features fine Brazilian marble on the walls and floors, a 19th-century Venetian glass mirror, a stylish Bar du Leopard with full-service bar, and an onboard cinema. The two-story foyer boasts a 10-foot blue Strauss Baccarat chandelier with huge sapphires—a stunning piece that once hung in New York’s famous Tavern on the Green—and a collection of original artwork is displayed throughout the ship.
