Amazing Wines & Views of Santorini

An email announcement will be sent to V. Sattui group members based on wine club tier levels when the tour is open for sale

Santorini’s vineyards were shaped the same way the island’s awe-inspiring topography was – by a giant volcanic eruption about 3,600 years ago. The eruption blanketed the island with light pumice gravel, sand, and black lava stone – which eventually helped the grapes become resistant to the phylloxera epidemic that wiped out most of Europe’s vineyards in the late 19th century. As a result, most of the vineyards covering this stunning island are of their original rootstock and more than 100 years old.

Guided by a local sommelier, today you will start with time to explore the picturesque village of Oia. Then it is on to taste Santorini's delicious wines at two of the islands most internationally recognized wineries. After a wine-paired lunch at the 2nd winery, you will have some free time to explore Fira before heading back to the ship via cable car.

Note: A second version of this tour will be offerred with a slightly varied itinerary
