Turkish Delights and Ephesus Tour

This shore tour is available to book for all confirmed group members. For a complete description and pricing, contact Food & Wine Trails.

Today your guided tour includes Ephesus, the second biggest city of the Roman Empire and the largest ancient city ever uncovered. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was an ancient port city whose well-preserved ruins are in modern-day Turkey. Once populated with three hundred thousand people, it has an enormous amphitheater, which can still hold 24,000 spectators. As you walk down the marble covered streets, you will see gymnasiums, baths houses, public latrines, the library of Celsius and The Temple of Artemis, one of the world’s seven wonders.

After visiting Ephesus, visit a local carpet cooperative where you will have the chance to explore the district from a cultural perspective. From here, you will enjoy a winery visit for lunch and wine tasting.
