Often referred to as the “Island of the Sun” Rhodes is famous not only for its natural beauty and dramatic history, but for its wines as well. Nearly 7,500 acres of vineyards are cultivated on the island which is blessed with a near-perfect Mediterranean climate that includes plenty of warm sun and mild winters. Along with rich soil and cooling winds to mitigate hot summer temperatures, Rhodes consistently produces high-quality wines, primarily from Athiri (white) and Amorgiano (red) grapes.

Highlights include tours and tastings at two premium family-owned wineries, and a traditional Greek lunch with wine in Old Town Rhodes with time to explore and shop.
