Plymouth was the departure point for the historic Mayflower voyage of 1620, when the Pilgrims set sail for the New World. Today, it is a major port city known for its maritime heritage and the charm of the historic Barbican district. Today's tour route passes the Plymouth Guildhall and continues through Barbican, where cobbled streets, historic buildings, a lively harbor, and waterfront dining define the area's character. Continue to the Royal Citadel, a striking 17th-century fortress designed to defend the coastline from Dutch attack, today it remains an active military site.

Upon arrival in the heart of the historic 19th century Royal William Yard, we will stop at a boutique wine lounge for tastings and a wine-paired lunch featuring continental tapas menu of French cheeses, artisanal cured meats, and seasonal dishes, thoughtfully prepared to complement the wines and celebrate the art of food and wine pairing.
