Pocinho, Portaugal

Pocinho sits at the eastern end of the Douro Valley, Portugal's oldest demarcated wine region and a UNESCO World Heritage site. While most travelers know the Douro for its Port houses near Porto and Pinhao, Pocino les deeper upriver in the Douro Superior, a hotter, more rugged area known for intense sunlight, steep terraced vineyards, low rainfall and high-quality Port grapes.
