After independent arrival at the Lisbon International Airport, take a private transfer and check in to One Palácio da Anunciada, your 5-star centrally located hotel for the next 3 nights.
This evening join your CAST Wines hosts, Jack & Ann, for a welcome drink in the hotel gardens before meeting your expert wine guide and Sommelier, Ryan Opaz in the hotel lobby. Enjoy a special welcome dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant where you will discover culinary heaven with Portuguese and Spanish flavors using the best of local, seasonal ingredients and masterful wine pairings from boutique producers. After dinner, explore Lisbon’s nightlife on your own or return to the hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, meet up with Ryan for a Mystery Box Cooking Challenge. Divided into small groups you will be given a base recipe and box of ingredients to execute your culinary masterpiece. After judgment by the head chef and culinary team, everyone will sit down to enjoy the meals crafted. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is free for you to explore Lisbon on your own.

After breakfast, step into your vintage VW Vans and depart for Cascais and Guincho with a “Groovy Seafood Lovers Tour”. Indulge in delightful gelato at Portugal’s first gelato store and experience the essence of Portuguese coastal cuisine with a delectable seafood tasting. Next, visit a local vineyard for tasting and a luscious lunch. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.
Check out of your Lisbon hotel and drive to one of the oldest and the most renowned wine regions in the Lisboa Valley, Alenquer. Its history in winemaking dates back to ancient Roman times. Enjoy a tour, tasting and lunch at a local Estate. After lunch take a scenic drive to Nelas, through lush landscapes and sweeping countrysides. Check into Puro Dão Hotel & Spa.
Spend time this morning enjoying the hotel facilities before meeting your guide for a drive towards Quinta do Cruzeiro Vineyards in the Dão region. Enjoy wine tasting with pestiscos at the Julia Kemper Estate, recognized internationally including one of the top 50 best Portuguese wines.
Continue to the terroir-driven Textura Winery, nestled against Portugal’s tallest inland mountain region, for a tour and tasting. Stay for a private dinner in the renovated century old textile factory consisting of a regionally sourced menu paired with their unique wines.

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and drive towards the picturesque Douro Valley. We will make a stop at a small local farm cheese factory and experience a cheese interactive workshop. Meet the cheese maker and fashion your own curds in this hands-on class. Conclude with a delicious traditional regional lunch at the farm.
Check into the Vila Gale Douro Vineyards Hotel for a 2-night stay, before leaving for a decadent wine-paired dinner in the village of Pinhão.

Your wine experience today will begin with a drive to a family-owned winery, located in the picturesque town of São João da Pesqueira in the Douro Superior wine region. Family members will lead you on a walking tour and an intimate wine tasting and lunch with wine.
Next on the route is a stop at the Quinta do Javali winery, perched over 700 meters above the Douro River. Here, the vineyards are terraced with slabs of slate, plowed by horse, and tilled by wild pigs. Continue to the countryside of Ervedosa do Douro, and be treated to a wine-tasting experience and an outdoor BBQ Portuguese dinner with hand selected local wines.
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and depart toward Porto where you will partake in a walking food tour at several locations enjoying ten traditional and iconic Portuguese foods. Learn about the families and history behind each of the restaurants, cafes, and specialty food shops visited.
This afternoon, check into Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia, with its stunning gardens and rich heritage. After some time to relax and refresh, join Ryan for a farewell dinner at a local port lodge founded over 100 years ago. The dinner includes a selection of dishes and gastronomic offerings created and paired not only with port wines, but also with a range of DOC Douro Wines.
It’s time to say a fond farewell to Portugal, your fellow travelers, CAST Wines hosts and guide at the end of this exhilarating Portuguese experience. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and take a private transfer to the Porto International Airport for your final destination.
