• Personally escorted by Jeff & Judy James, owners of James Family Cellars • Private onboard events including welcome, casual wine hour, seminars and tastings & winemaker’s dinner served with James Family wines • Food & Wine Trails exclusive 2-night optional Seattle pre-cruise program • Optional Food & Wine Trails exclusive shore tours in Juneau & Sitka
Food & Wine Trails welcomes back James Family Cellars in 2020! After a successful Northern Europe cruise in 2018, winery owner’s James and Judy have decided to keep their next adventure closer to home with a cruise to The Last Frontier, a.k.a. ALASKA.
Dramatic Alaska will inspire your inner-explorer, where the thunderous crack of a calving glacier echoes in a deep fjord, where bald eagles soar and humpback whales breech. Discover the distinct Russian influence in Sitka and the unmistakable gold rush spirit in Skagway. Dine on fresh salmon in Wrangell or perhaps set off on an unforgettable dogsledding adventure in Juneau.
Although this region of North America may not be your first thought when thinking of a wine cruise, Jeff & Judy have big plans in store for you featuring their exquisite hand-picked vintages. While you take in all the natural wonders of Alaska, you will also be treated to James Family Cellars wines during private-to-the group onboard events that include two seminars & tastings, receptions and the much anticipated winemakers dinner at one of Regatta’s newly renovated specialty restaurants.
We highly recommend kicking of the cruise with Food & Wine Trails’ optional pre-cruise Seattle land program that explores Washington Wines indepth with a local expert. The program is being curated with James Family Cellars guests in mind and will open your eyes and pallet to boutique urban Seattle wineries from an insider’s perspective. These pre-cruise programs, as well as our exclusive shore tour options are fun, informative and always one of the most memorable portions of our trips.
