Food and wine is the ultimate pairing, so what could be better than cruising thru the top food and wine regions of the Mediterranean, on a ship specifically designed for the food and wine lover, being hosted by two of Sonoma County’s best winemakers and chef-restaurateur couples? Nothing but ensuring that they are some of the most fun people you’d ever want to meet. Here is your opportunity —with special programming for both the food and wine lover.

Mark and Terri Stark are the chef-owners of Sonoma County’s top restaurant group. They are traveling with Adam and Dianna Lee, owners and winemakers of Siduri —one of the country’s top Pinot Noir producers.

The first Siduri & Stark at Sea cruise departs June 1, 2014 from Barcelona Spain, with stops in France, Italy, Croatia and Greece, before it ends Venice on June 11th.  You’ll cruise on Oceania Cruise’s newest mid-sized ship the Riviera— on the cruise line consistently rated as having the best food and wine at sea. Along the way are optional, private cooking demonstrations and market tours led by Mark Stark and onboard tastings of knock-out and rare Siduri wines. The crescendo is a gala wine and food dinner hosted by both couples.

You’ll also enjoy the fun of traveling with a like-minded convivial group. Everything is provided except for the need of a coat and tie. Your floating resort has luxurious appointments, eight no extra-charge gourmet restaurants, a hands-on culinary classroom where Chef Mark Stark will teach, artist loft, a large spa and gym, swimming pools, hot-tubs, lounges and nightly entertainment. While in port, you can wander on your own, or join one of the private-to-the-group visits to such famous wineries as Ornellaia, a super Tuscan winery that received a Perfect 100-score from Wine Spectator, to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a French wine region made famous by the critic Robert Parker and to a small family owned winery on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius near the ruins of Pompeii. You can also arrive a few days early into Barcelona to explore the wine regions of Penedés and Priorat with your private wine guides, or wander the famed Boqueria food market with Mark and Terri followed by a Spanish-Sonoma cooking class. It’s a dream-come-true for any traveling food, wine or fun lover.
